Lessons in this workbook for children learning English as a second language are based on the concept that the learning process is a cumulative one. They are designed to develop skills in speaking, reading, and writing, and to stimulate pupil interest through involvement in classroom dialogs and activities. Illustrations and language are geared to the maturity level of the children. Instructions to the teacher appear at the bottom of each page, enabling the teacher to utilize the same book as the student and avoid constant cross-reference. General instructions and suggestions for the teacher appear at the end of the workbook.
