  • The present paper reports the experience lived by a public school teacher of the city of Assis – SP, after her participation in the “Dynamizing the classroom – education based upon the potentialities” extension course. The course aimed to offer to the professionals of the Educational area a space for the planning and execution of proposals of enrichment and dynamization in the classroom. In order to do that, one example was presented on the teaching-learning relation, highlighting one experience in Portuguese, based on the national and international scientific literature. The study was performed at a school in the suburbs with 28 students at 5th grade, distributed as 18 girls and 10 boys - aged 10, mostly - aiming to resignify the educational activities in the classroom, since these students were identified as disinterested, restless and boundless children. The results of this experience indicated that the extension course was fundamentally important to assist the teacher in her teaching activity, contributing to the planning of dynamic pedagogic practices that meet the needs and interests of the students involved.
