• Medical porous titanium and titanium alloys have been used well in clinical applications.However,in order to accelerate good bone healing and osseointegration in vivo,it is necessary to modify the surface of porous titanium and titanium alloys.In this paper,the preparation methods of medical porous titanium and titanium alloys were briefly introduced,including powder metallurgy,metal deposition and casting.Then,two frequently-used surface modification methods for medical porous titanium and titanium alloys at home and abroad,namely,preparation of bioactive coatings and surface chemical modification,were mainly reviewed.
