• Basing on a series of recent sociological surveys in a number of the capitals of the Newly Independent States the author describes the changes in the sphere of interhuman contacts like labor, marriage, friendships etc. A very sensitive nature of these changes is emphasized as a factor of daily realities - for the indigenous groups and settlers alike - from former Russia and USSR. The author in order to characterize the situation of Russian-language inhabitants of some Baltic and Central Asian states works out a migration indicator. (DIPF/ orig.).
