• La depresión es la primera causa mundial de discapacidad. El objetivo de este trabajo consistió en evaluar literatura científica más reciente para determinar el efecto de las intervenciones basadas en el canto en grupo sobre la sintomatología depresiva. Se realizó una revisión sistemática de la bibliografía de los últimos 5 años por medio de búsquedas en seis bases de datos (Medline, PubMed, Cinahl, Scopus, Web of Science y Psycinfo). El canto en grupo presentó resultados positivos en aquellos ensayos clínicos con una muestra con sintomatología depresiva más grave. El efecto del canto sobre la salud mental debe seguir investigándose. The aim of this study was to evaluate the most recent scientific literature to determine the effect of interventions based on group singing on depressive symptomatology. A systematic review of the literature of the last 5 years was carried out by searching six databases (Medline, PubMed, Cinahl, Scopus, Web of Science and Psycinfo). Group singing presented positive results in those clinical trials with a sample with more severe depressive symptomatology. The effect of singing on mental health should be further investigated.
