Amaç: Çalışmada, iklim değişikliğine uyum çerçevesinde Küçük Menderes Havzasındaki üreticilerin çevresel tutumlarının belirlenmesi ve mevcut tutumlarının iyileştirilmesine yönelik çeşitli öneriler getirmek hedeflenmiştir. Materyal ve Yöntem: Çalışma verileri 171 üretici yapılan ile yüz yüze anketler yardımı ile elde edilmiştir. Üreticilerin çevresel tutumları Çevresel tutum envanteri yardımı ile belirlenmiş ve faktör analizi kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma Bulguları: 12 faktör ve 24 ifadeden oluşan çevresel tutum envanteri araştırmaya dahil olan üreticiler açısından değerlendirildiğinde; 12 faktörden 5’inin üreticilerin çevresel tutumlarını yansıttığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Havza üreticilerinin genel çevresel tutumlarının ise orta düzeyde (Ort=4,31, Std Sapma=2,30, α= 0,66) olduğu ve daha da geliştirilmesi için çalışmalar yapılması gerektiği saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Havzadaki üreticilerin çevre bilincinin arttırılması ve tarım-çevre etkileşiminin üreticiye doğru şekilde aktarılması için çeşitli çiftçi toplantıları ve etkinlikler ile yayım çalışması yapılmalıdır. Ayrıca üreticilerin, davranışlarında yapacakları pozitif değişiklikleri çeşitli şekillerde ödüllendirilerek teşvik edilmesi tarımın sürdürülebilirliği açısından önemlidir. Bunun yanı sıra, üreticileri çevreyi koruma adına teşvik edici tarım-çevre politikaları ile de yapılan çalışmalar desteklenmelidir.
Objective: The objective of this study was to determine the environmental attitudes of the producers in Küçük Menderes Basin regarding adaptation to climate change and to make various suggestions to improve their current environmental attitudes. Material Method: The data for the study were obtained with face-to-face surveys with 171 producers. The environmental attitudes of the producers were determined with the Environmental Attitude Inventory and the data obtained were evaluated using factor analysis. Results: When the environmental attitude inventory consisting of 12 factors and 24 expressions is evaluated in terms of the producers involved in the study; it was found that 5 out of 12 factors reflect the environmental attitudes of the producers. It was also determined that the general environmental attitudes of the basin producers are at a moderate level (Avg = 4.31, Std Dev. = 2.30, α = 0.66) and further studies are needed to improve them. Conclusion: In order to increase the environmental awareness of the producers in the basin and to convey the agriculture-environment interaction to the producers correctly, various farmer meetings and events and extension work should be carried out. In addition, it is important for the sustainability of agriculture that producers are encouraged to make positive changes in their behaviors by rewarding them in various ways. In addition to this, studies with agro-environmental policies that encourage producers to protect the environment should be supported.
