• Summary This study presents the first report of Exobasidium gracile in South Korea. In 2012, a Camellia sasanqua tree with typical Exobasidium disease symptoms was observed for the first time in South Korea. The causal fungus was determined as E. gracile . The identification was based on host range, symptomatology, morphology and two‐gene sequence analyses.
