Beschreibungen/Notizen
Nanostructured needle like, hydroxyapatite (HAp) samples were prepared by a simple approach using biomaterial (egg shell membrane) and characterized by Fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy (FT-IR), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques. The elemental composition of one of the samples determined by EDAX showed the ratio of Ca/P as 1.425, as expected for the HAp. XRD shows the presence of hexagonal phase for all the samples prepared under various pH conditions. Crystallite size and cell parameters were calculated based on the XRD data.
