Sphaeropsis sapinea obtained from five tropical
Pinus seed sources caused damage when inoculated onto seeds, seedlings and saplings of
Pinus oocarpa, P. caribaea and
P. pseudostrobus. Three isolates were appreciably more damaging than the remaining two and
P. pseudostrobus seeds and seedlings and
P. oocarpa saplings were most susceptible.
