A core–shell structure based on a hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) and an upconversion nanoparticle is constructed by Tian‐Fu Liu et al. as described in their Communication on page 25701. The upconversion nanoparticle “core” can effectively upconvert near‐infrared irradiation into visible light, which excites the HOF “shell” to achieve photothermal and photodynamic bacterial inhibition. The cover picture by Bai‐Tong Liu illustrates the structure behaving like a Chinese lantern, in which the core–shell configuration delivers brightness and happiness.
