In this contribution, the author pointed out the first manifestation of civic activity that helped preserve Bratislava's historical cemeteries: Ondrejský cemetery, cemetery Pri Kozej bráne with the cemetery near Mikulášská brána. The collection Bratislava/nahlas is considered the forerunner of environmental journalism in Slovakia. It was one of the first publications to draw attention to the environmental burdens in Bratislava, the capital of the former Slovak Socialist Republic. It consisted of four parts: Natural Components of the Environment, Historical Core, Social Environment and Context. The sections are divided into seventeen chapters and more than a hundred subchapters. There is also a Preamble and a Conclusion or Editorial.
