  • The aim of this article is to present the negative transformations of the palace and park complex in Bratoszewice after the ownership changes after IInd World War and to assess the current preservation of this complex and vision of the development of this area in the eyes of the inhabitants of Bratoszewice. This goal has been achieved by using the triangulation of the following methods: 1) desk research of existing data relating to the palace and park, 2) cartographic inventory of the development of elements in the studied complex, 3) survey with Bratoszewice inhabitants, which are also users of the park and palace complex, 4) interview with the mayor of Stryków municipality during a research walk. The revitalization of the palace and park complex in Bratoszewice is still in doubt. Until the new owner appears, with financial resources and a clear vision of the development of this place, it is difficult to expect any changes. According to the Authors’ opinion, the best solution for this area would be the acquisition by the Stryków commune, and then using it for local social and economic purposes – commercial for a wider group of recipients (endogenous and exogenous function at the same time).
