• The paper focuses on several directions that manifest at a global level in the area of internationalization of higher education, together with their associated phenomena and specific activities, as they arise from a comparative analysis of the higher education systems in the states with the most important developments in the field. The analysis focuses on the way the mobility of students, faculty and institutions along with the use of information and communication technologies to influence the offer and demand of higher education services on the global market.
