• Large non-financial companies figure prominently in the Bulgarian economy. They are facing serious challenges due to the dynamic business environment after Bulgaria’s accession to the European Union. This inevitably has an impact on their behavior, efficient operation and future development. The status and influence of social and economic factors on large non-financial companies in the country are presented based on the multidimensional analysis of statistical and empirical information and using a variety of approaches and methods. Some of the problems and challenges they face, as well as best practice applied are highlighted.
