In issue nr. 51/2008 of our review we have published a new theory concerning the colonization of the Saxons in Transylvania, elaborated by the ethnographer Horst Klusch, being aware of the fact that experts will comment on it. Harald Zimmermann, one of Europe’s leading medievalists, sent the following report, in which he deconstructed all of Klusch’s reasoning. The expert demonstrates that the amateur historian ignored historic evidence and also read incorrectly some of the archival material.
