The second and third sections present deformities based on failures of formation and/or differentiation of the axis and hand plate respectively: radial and ulnar longitudinal deficiencies, symbrachydactyly, syndactyly (including Apert Syndrome), clinodactyly and captodactyly, and synostosis and coalitions are described in detail, among others.
